Les Maîtres Laitiers du Cotentin carry a unique story in France: that of a territory, of committed men and women, and of a vision rooted in cooperation. Since 1905, Cotentin’s producers have been building together a strong, modern dairy sector, deeply connected to its roots.

Les Maîtres Laitiers group celebrates its 40th anniversary.

2024

Acquisition of the Terres d’Auvergne maturing unit in Besse and St-Anastaise (63).

2017

Inauguration of the Méautis processing unit (50).

2016

Acquisition of Réaux cheese factory in Lessay and YéO Frais in Toulouse.

2015

Launch of the Campagne de France brand.

2008

Merger of the Crête cooperative with Les Maîtres Laitiers du Cotentin.

2004

Merger of the Moyon cooperative with Les Maîtres Laitiers du Cotentin.

2001

Creation of the France Frais network, bringing together all of the Group’s distribution subsidiaries. Its fresh, dry, and frozen products are available to all foodservice and retail professionals.

2000

Acquisition of the Domalait cutting and packaging plant, specialized in small-portion cheeses for out-of-home catering.

1999

Merger of the Tribehou cooperative with Les Maîtres Laitiers du Cotentin. With its facility located in the AOP Isigny zone, it becomes the site specialized in Isigny butter and cream.

1986

Creation of the Les Maîtres Laitiers du Cotentin Cooperative.

1962

Union of several cooperatives in northern Manche, giving rise to UCALMA (Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Manche).

1962

The first cantonal cooperatives are established in the Cotentin region.
