From the Isigny PDO, a terroir born from the sea, were born excellent butter and crème fraîche. During the XIVth century, the sea withdrew from the Isigny region, leaving mineral salts and trace elements on the soil.

Even today, every winter, the swampy and flooded soil gives its pasture a unique quality, rich in iodine and character.

The PDO crème fraîche and the PDO butter from Maîtres Laitiers du Cotentin were respectively awarded Gold and Silver medals at the 2020 Agricultural Show.
